DON’T STOP HEARING THE WORD OF GOD

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 KJV

Paul said to the church in Rome: “faith cometh,” not “faith goeth.” The more you hear the Word of God, the more faith comes. The day you stop hearing is the day that faith starts going away. So, you cannot stop hearing. You need to take a consistent and deliberate decision to be hearing the Word in the midst of the heat and challenges around the world.

We live in a world that is unstable and it is affecting every area of life. Nations are shaking and things are being overturned in different ways. The only solution is that you as a believer must settle certain things in your heart and take your stand. Therefore, your focus must be on the Word. You must never stop hearing and declaring what God said. The fact that you have gotten the answers cannot stop you from continuing to hear. You must keep on hearing. Why? Because somebody will want to catch your attention and before you know it, you will be hearing what he is saying. Your thoughts are governed by what you hear. As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.

I have found out in my walk with God and from my discussions with several people that one of the major causes of burn out, discouragement and confusion is listening to the wrong people and wrong things. The main issue is: are you still hearing the word of God? Have you resigned yourself to fate? Have you said, “well, that this faith thing doesn’t work. Since I have been standing in faith, it has never worked…” You know what you are doing? You are calling God a liar. He has not called you to be a failure.

You need to consistently tell yourself that you are not a failure. It doesn’t matter where you are and whatever your situation is; you are not a failure! Any ground that God planted you on must answer to you. That ground has been mandated to answer to you.
