Embrace Life
by Apostle (Prof.) Johnson Suleman

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Zechariah 5 – 6

TEXT: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” Psalms 118 :17.

With all your being child of God, embrace life and give no room to any thought of death even if its arrows are flying around. Your ability to think life, speak life and to live life with enthusiasm and hope for the future makes you embrace life thereby rejecting death.

The Psalmist declared emphatically in the text above “I shall not die but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” So also should you declare no matter what happens around you. Not until you draw the curtain on yourself, death cannot have a hold on you. A number of those who died unto, Ely allowed death probably because they saw no need to carry on, or saw the glory above in the midst of pain over here and chose to go over, or the cold hand of death penetrated them suddenly in their weak state.

Death or life is a choice, if you don’t want to die, then embrace life and speak it because until your mouth speaks otherwise, death is kept at a bay. No wonder scripture says in Proverbs 18 :21; “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” And in Deuteronomy 30:19 Moses presented life and death to the Israelites but advised that they chose life.
A similar death inflicting condition in which they were both stoned to the point of death befall Stephen and Apostle Paul but while Stephen lost his life in it, Paul the apostle lived and even lived on, until he fulfilled his purpose on earth. Why the difference in them? Their disposition in that condition determined their outcome. When they stoned Stephen, he was not dead until he said, “Lord, Jesus, receive my spirit” and he knelt down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he has said that, he fell asleep. Acts 7 :57 – 60.

But in the case Paul, he rose up and continued his assignment. Acts 14 :19 – 20.

You have a choice of what to choose, but I counsel you to choose life and embrace it by doing all needed including taking care of your health to fulfill the length of your day’s.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I embrace life. I shall not die but live.
