EMPOWERED TO DEMONSTRATE THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM

And this Good News about the Kingdom will be preached through all the world for a witness to all people; and then the end will come. “Yet through it all, this joyful assurance of the realm of heaven’s kingdom will be proclaimed all over the world, providing every nation with a demonstration of the reality of God. And after this the end of this age will arrive.”

Jesus said the Holy Spirit will make us His witnesses and a witness gives evidence that authenticates a claim or testimony. God wants your life to be proof of the glory and power of His kingdom. God does not want you to only preach the gospel; He wants your life to demonstrate the gospel. We have been recreated in Christ to do good works, (Eph.2:10). Jesus, “…gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works,” (Titus 2:14). It is important for us to preach the Gospel and also demonstrate it. God wants men to see our good works and not only hear our powerful words.

Jesus demonstrated the gospel of the kingdom. The Bible speaks of the things He did and taught, (Acts 1:1). He went about doing good by the power of the Spirit, (Acts 10:38). Jesus did not only preach and teach the gospel of the kingdom, He demonstrated it with His life. We demonstrate the gospel of the kingdom by manifesting both the fruit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We must manifest both the power and character of Christ. We must be godly indeed and not just have a form of godliness, (2Tim.3:5). The communication of our faith (preaching of the gospel) is effectual as people begin to acknowledge every good thing that is in our lives because of Christ, (Philm 1:6).

Prayer:
Dear Father, please empower me by your Spirit to demonstrate both the power and character of Christ with my life.
