“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:” – Galatians 3:13

The mysterious power that is released through sacrifice, has been known to stop a ravaging curse from continuing to destroy the people in its way. Indeed, the power of a sacrifice can stop a curse from continuing.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse. The power that was used to redeem us was the power of the sacrifice of His Life and Blood. “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:18-19).

The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross stopped the curse of death. Through the mystery of the cross, great power is released into the world to deliver us from the curse. “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness; but to us which are saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18). The cross of Jesus Christ releases the powers of the world to come and blocks the curse. Today, we are set free from the curse of eternal death through the Blood of Jesus.

One day, we will see thousands and thousands of people in Heaven. These were accursed people who were once doomed and damned. They will walk the streets of Heaven and praise the Saviour. What is the secret that broke the power of the curse in their lives? How were they able to make it to Heaven? It is the Blood of Jesus that enables the multitudes to escape the curse of death and eternal separation from God.
