ENFORCE YOUR VICTORY

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 KJV

Jesus arose from the dead because of us. Everything He did was for us, not for Himself. We have to act like it. We cannot be going about like people without backbone. We cannot be going about with our head, cowered by the enemy. Jesus instituted the communion to serve as a constant reminder of the victory that He has purchased for us through His death, burial and resurrection. “…This do in remembrance of me” (1Corinthians 11:24 KJV).

Remind yourself, in case you have forgotten; that the price has been fully paid. Your victory is guaranteed because of the sacrifice of Jesus. So, when the enemy begins to bombard your life, left, right, front and center, remember the victory that Christ has won for you. When the enemy tries to make you doubt the authenticity of God’s Word, remember that Jesus Christ died for you. Who is that devil that can stop you from what God has purposed?

As a believer, you have a responsibility to enforce the defeat of the devil. According to the scriptures, Jesus was tempted by the devil after His baptism. The devil came and said to him: “…If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread” (Matthew 4:3KJV). And Jesus responded: “…It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4 KJV).

Then the devil went further! “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me“ (Matthew 4:8-9 KJV). Jesus responded: “…Get thee hence, Satan…” (Matthew 4:10 KJV). Satan, get out of here! The tone changed. This is how a believer should take his place and enforce his victory. What Jesus did, we can also do!
