Enter God’s Favour and Provision
Psalm 35:9 (NKJV) And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord; it shall rejoice in His salvation.
Psalms 100:1-5 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving; and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
The sign that you have entered the favour and provision that God has made available for you in Christ is not the manifestation of that favour and provision in your life. Rather, the sign that you have received and entered into it is the joy that from your heart. Joy is the sign that you have received what Christ has done for you as your reality. Joy is the sign that you believe it is fulfilled already. Romans 5:1-2 says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” The grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” The proof that you have received the access that God has granted you into His grace and you are standing in it is that you are rejoicing because of the hope and assurance you have of experiencing the manifestation of the glory of God in your life.
There should be a point in the life of every believer that you so come to understand the favour of God upon your life that no matter what happens you will not lose your joy in God. Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NLT) says, “Even though the fig tree have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.” Romans 4:20 says, Abraham “… staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”
Child of God, this shall be your testimony continually. Spend time to study and meditate on the revelation of God’s love and all God has done for you in Christ. Stay on it until your eyes open (Eph. 1:18-20) and joy is stirred up in your heart.
Prayer:
My heart is open to You, dear Lord. Fill my heart with the revelation of Your love for me and open my eyes to all You have done for me in Christ.
