Even Greater

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father.”

John 14:12

A large, muscular mountain man encountered a much smaller man. The smaller man said, “If I was as big as you, I’d go out in the woods, find the biggest bear I could, and I’d throw him to the ground.” But the larger man replied, “If I were you, I’d go out there and find a little bear, and I’d pick him up and fling him to the ground.”

That’s our problem, isn’t it? So often we say, “If only I had his resources, or her education, or their opportunities.” Instead, we need to trust that God will provide what we need to accomplish those works that He has custom made just for you – and just for me.
