READ: John 7:1-9

“ And his brethren said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works which thou doest. … BECAUSE HIS BROTHERS DID NOT BELIEVE IN HIM EITHER. – John 7:3-5

Jesus knew all the stages of dishonor! Jesus was gradually dishonored until he was belittled, dishonored, humiliated, despised and crucified as a simple criminal. There were many people who didn’t believe in Him. Jesus’ brothers did not believe in him.

After that, Jesus traveled through Galilee, because he did not want to stay in Judea, because the Jews were trying to kill him. Now, the feast of the Jews, the feast of Tabernacles, was at hand. And his brethren said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works which thou doest. No one acts in secret, when he wishes to appear: if you do these things, show yourself to the world. BECAUSE HIS BROTHERS DID NOT BELIEVE IN HIM EITHER. John 7:1-5

When you don’t believe what someone says, it’s a sign that you don’t respect the person. A lack of faith is a lack of trust. In other words, you are saying, “You are not trustworthy. Your words aren’t worth much. »

Over the years I have invited people to come into full-time ministry. A lot of people just didn’t believe it would be good for them. Their lack of belief was actually a lack of respect for full-time ministry and for God’s calling. The same people are ready to sacrifice everything and even live apart from their families for many years. These people are willing to work long hours for various secular causes. They simply have no faith in full-time ministry. They had neither faith nor respect for God’s calling. They had no respect for my offer to work for the Lord. Not believing and not obeying are sure signs of a lack of honor.
