Filling the Earth with God’s Glory

Habakkuk 2:14, Isaiah 60:1-3 (NIV), John 17:22 (GNB), John 20:21

For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the people, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
I gave them the same glory you gave me, so that they may be one, just as you and I are one.
….as my Father hath sent me,even so I send you.

The manner in which God has planned to fill the earth with the knowledge of His glory is through you and me. God wants to fill our lives with the knowledge of His glory and then through us, He will fill the earth with the knowledge of His glory. The glory of God refers to the weight, the character, the abilities, the essence, the nature and the admirable qualities of God. As a believer, the issue is no longer whether you will see the glory of God in your life but that the glory of God will so fill your life that through you, His glory will fill the earth. Through you, people are going to see and know how glorious and wonderful God is. The knowledge of the glory of God is in the face of Jesus (2 Cor. 4:6). As we focus on the revelation of Christ, the glory of God fills our lives. We are transformed from glory to glory into that same glory (2 Cor. 3:18).

As a believer, you are not just a carrier of the glory of God. You are the glory of God. In 2Corinthians 8:23, Apostle Paul described fellow believers as the glory of Christ. Why did he do that? In our third text above, Jesus assured us that He has given us the same glory that God the Father gave Him. Jesus has given us His glory because we are one with Him. Right now, we have the capacity to reflect the glory of God just like Jesus can. Jesus came to raise many sons to glory (Hebrews.2:14). He came to restore us to that realm of God’s glory from which Adam and Eve fell. You need to focus on Christ more and more and you need to grow in your consciousness that you are the glory of God. When you enter into a place, the glory of God goes before you. Your light will so shine before men that they will see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven (Matthew 5:16). People will be drawn to the glory of God that they see in your life.

Faith Declaration:
The glory of God is upon my life and through me, the glory of God fills everywhere that I am. My life is radiating the glory of God.
