FOCUS ON GOD’S PROMISES FOR YOU

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

2 Peter 1:3-4 KJV

If God has given us great and precious promises, then we must know the promises that He has given us. Some people are attending church on Sundays and other service days, but they don’t go back to read the Bible to find out about the promises of God for them. How will somebody be able to access a will when he does not know what is in the will? The devil doesn’t even care if you come to church every day, as long as you don’t know the content of the will.

If you will overcome all the satanic attacks and demonic oppressions, you must understand the promises given to you and leverage on them.  If you will be delivered from corruption that is in the world, you must have understanding of the promises. The scriptures tell us that “… through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Proverbs 11:9 KJV).

Don’t be in the company of ignorant people who don’t know what belongs to them. Christ didn’t die in vain! He left heaven and came down to earth for a definite purpose, so that those whom He had redeemed will have a good life here and hereafter. That’s His plan! But the devil wants to accuse you and tell you that your great grandfather suffered and you should suffer. He tells you that whatever will be, will be; you will be surprised how many religious people believe it. My father suffered it, so it runs in the family. Which father and which family are you talking about? Is it the family of God or your earthly family? You must develop the mindset of seeing things from God’s perspective. Stop seeing the way ordinary people see.
