“Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;”
Hebrews 3:1 KJV
We are told in Hebrews 3:1: “…Consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Jesus Christ.” We have considered ourselves long enough. God is saying every attention should be focused on Him. The reason you are still seeing the mote in the eye of your sister and your brother is because you are not looking at Jesus. You are looking around. Beloved, focus on Jesus! As you behold His face, like in a mirror, you are changed into that image, from glory unto glory.
I’m tired of weakness in Christianity. I’m tired of the lack of ability as though His Word is not true. Beloved if it is not true, then let us throw it away and go to the world. But I happen to know that it is true! No word of God is void of power! Heaven and earth shall pass away but Jesus declared that His Word shall never pass away. All you need is to give close consideration to the Word. Whichever Word you consider will prosper in your life.
He says to us that His covenant will He not break, nor alter that which is gone out of His mouth (Psalm 89:34) The book of Hebrews 6:17-18 declares: “Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:” ( KJV)
The book of Daniel 11:32 says, those that know their God shall be strong and do exploits. What does it mean to know? My friend, you can’t claim to know me simply because you know my name. You can’t claim to know me just because I discussed with you. The person that can claim to really know me very well is my wife. God is looking for intimacy with us. It is in the place of intimacy that we become familiar with the ways of God.
