FOCUS ON THE TRUTH AND NOT THE FACTS

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” John 8:32 (KJV)

When you allow facts to govern your life rather than the truth, you will end up living a life of stress, anxiety, worry, and defeat. Facts are real. It can be a fact that you are sick in your body. It can be a fact that you do not have money in your pocket. Yes, you may be fearful about certain things happening around you and I agree that you have been married for some years now and the baby has not yet come. The fact around you may be that no one ever gets married in your lineage or no one has ever built a house or crossed a certain age or succeeds in their endeavours, and the list can go on and on. But the truth, however, is that you are a new creation, your life is no more based on facts. You are a brand-new species of being that has never existed before, and your life is now governed by TRUTH. (2 Cor. 5:17)

Child of God, old things are passed away and behold, all things have become new. Truth is superior to facts. Truth is always constant and does not change. Facts are subject to change. They are not forever. TRUTH is a person – Jesus.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. No matter what the facts are when you know the TRUTH concerning it, that TRUTH will set you free. When the fact says that you are sick, the Truth says “… by His stripes you were healed.” 1 Pet. 2:24. When the fact says you have no money, the Truth says “… but my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” Phil 4:19. When the fact says you are fearful, the Truth says “… For God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind” 2 Time 1:7

I challenge you today to stand on the Truth because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and only bears witness to the Truth. You will see the facts change. (2 Cor. 4:18)
