FOCUS ON THE WORD
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2 KJV
The only source of true peace and hope in this life is in Christ. The Bible is clear on this: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee” (Isaiah 26:3 KJV). God assures us that those who know Him are the ones that will be standing at the end of the day. No matter what comes against you, it will change in your favor as long as your focus remains on the Word of God: “except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain” (Psalm 127:1 KJV).
You must be intentionally connected to your source. That is why you cannot afford to trivialize the place of the Word. Are you still reading the Bible the way you used to? Jesus said: “…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63 KJV). At times, we get so busy that we take many things for granted and the devil likes it when we neglect the Word. When I find myself getting too lazy, I wake myself and stand up. I tell myself, “what are you doing? Do you want to be obsolete? Never!”
Are you still going back to the notes you wrote in the past under the anointing of the Holy Ghost? They are powerful revelations that God gave to you. Don’t abandon them. Don’t abandon the Word! When I go back to reading my notes I am blessed. Just reading them gets me excited. I throw up my notes and begin to worship God and He begins to expand them in my spirit. That is why I can never finish preaching what God is putting in my spirit.
