FOLLOW GOD’S LEADING AND DIRECTION

LUKE 5:4-6 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

Every time you are following God’s leading and direction, you are increasing your capacity and you are positioning yourself for great increase. Every time you refuse to follow God’s leading and direction, you may not be aware of the kind of increase you are depriving yourself of. Imagine what Peter would have lost if he refused to follow the leading and direction Jesus was giving him in our text above. The Lord is your Shepherd. Yield yourself to Him and follow His leading.

We follow God’s leading by faith and not by our senses or feelings, (2Cor.5:7). “Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make,” (Prov.3:5, TPT). The basic way God leads us is by His word and by His Spirit. Let the revelation of Christ dwell in you richly (Col.3:16) and act in line with it, (James 1:25). Increase your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Be more conscious of His presence and yield yourself more to Him. Pray a lot in the Spirit. He will show you things to come (John 16:13) and He will move you to prepare and position yourself for them. He wants to reveal the deep things that are on the mind of God to you, (1Cor.2:9-12). God is at work in you (by His Spirit), making you willing and able to do His will, (Phil.2:13). Yield yourself more to Him.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for how you are leading me daily by your word and Spirit. I yield myself more to you.
