TOPIC: For An Appointed Time
BIBLE READING: Psalm 123-125
TEXT: “And the LORD answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that
readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end of it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait
for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”. Hab. 2:2-3
MESSAGE
Everything God said concerning each one of His children is for an appointed time. At that set time, what He said
manifested because God will never say what He cannot bring to pass. He has ordered his thought and plan for His
children at different times and seasons. The time for sister A to begin her ministry assignment may not be the exact time as sister B.
In divine agenda, they can both have a calling into ministry but have different timing. God may have a plan for sister A
to get to a certain level academically before going into full-time ministry, but for sister B, His plan for her is to begin
right away even as an undergraduate.

What then should one do when one has a vision of what God wants him to do, but it is not the appointed time? The
answer as stated in our anchor text is to wait for it. Waiting time is not wasting time. It is a processing time, the time
you grow up and become mature to handle that phase of assignment or blessing when it manifests.
Waiting is never a phase of idleness. Whoever is waiting for God’s appointed time and is idle is wasting and not waiting.
While waiting, you are to engage in service, busy with a task that makes you fit for that destiny assignment. You can
learn a skill, engage in a trade or get a job to keep you going while waiting for it. Scripture says, “Whatsoever thy hand
findeth to do, do it with thy might” Eccl. 5:11.
There is no room for idleness and lazing about in the kingdom. As you write the vision and make it plain to keep your
focus on it, you are to wait for it developing yourself for it.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive grace to wait for the appointed time in all that concerns
me.
