FROM TRUTH TO REALITY

John 16:13-15a (TPT), Luke 1:34-35

But when the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality of every truth within you. … He will glorify me … for he will receive from me what is mine and reveal it to you. Everything that belongs to the Father belongs to me.. *Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, …? And the angel answered…The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:….

Sometimes, there are things God has said about us that may seem very vague and impossible for us to experience their manifestation. Like the angel said to Mary, that is the job of the Holy Spirit. When He overshadows us, things that look like mists and shadows become tangible and real to us. The Holy Ghost reveals the deep things on God’s mind to us, (1 Cor.2:9-12). He reveals Christ, all Christ has and all Christ has done for us. He reveals them to us and makes us experience them. That’s how He glorifies Christ in our lives. He quickens us by manifesting the resurrection life and power of God in every area of our lives, (Rom.8:11).

The Holy Spirit reveals and spreads God’s love in our hearts, (Rom.5:5). He makes the life and love of God real to us. He is our comforter and helper, (John 14:26). It was by His help we became born again (1Cor.12:3) and by His help, we are continually transformed from glory to glory into Christ’s image, (2Cor.3:18). He produces His fruit and manifests His gifts in our lives. He is the One that empowers us to be witnesses for Christ, (Acts 1:8). When the Holy Spirit came upon the same Peter who denied Jesus three times, Peter spoke boldly about Jesus and three thousand souls were saved, (Acts 2:4, 14 & 41). As believers, we cannot do without the help of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer:
Father, I yield myself to your Spirit right now. Let the Spirit overshadow me right now and make your truth real in my life.
