Memorise: He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. Psalms 103:7

Bible Reading: Psalms 103:6-8

  1. The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
  2. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
  3. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. MESSAGE:
The closer you get to an object, the clearer you see it. The closer you get to God, the more of God you see.

BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 120-123, 1 Corinthians 6:1-20

MESSAGE:

One of the problems the Israelites had, that even led them into slavery several times is that majority of them draw away from God now and again. For instance, when they were in the wilderness, they were contented with what they were getting from God per time; when they needed water, they got it, they needed meat, they had quails, they needed food, they had manna, they were beaten by snakes, they got healed et cetera. Only Moses went up to Mount Sinai to meet with God. He was also the one who had a close encounter with God. Others were contented with what they got from God. The moment you give your life to Christ, you become a new creature. You then begin to study God’s word so that you can know more about Him.

The more of His word you study and obey, the higher in Him you grow and more of His grace you get. Don’t get comfortable with the miracles you get from God. You can also be used of Him to perform miracles if you pay the price. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).

Action Point:
Set out time to study and meditate on God’s word daily from today.

Hymn: When We Walk With The Lord

  1. When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way,
While we do His good will,
    He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

  1. Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away,
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
  2. Not a burden we bear,
    Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay,
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
  3. But we never can prove
    The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
    For the favour He shows,
    And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
  4. Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
