Get Ready To Move

24TH October 2022

Scripture Reading: Acts 12: 1-19

Focus

: “And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.” (Acts 12: 8)

In our Focal Scripture, the angel of the Lord told Peter to bind up his sandals. It was time to leave the prison, and the angel of the Lord told Peter to wear his footwear. Wearing of foot-wears is symbolic of a preparation for movement. So the angel was simply telling Peter to get ready to move. The gates of the prison were about to be opened, and the angel told Peter to get ready to move. Peter’s movement needed preparation.

Friend, get ready to move. Get ready to break forth on all sides. Get ready to break into your new season. Get ready to move away from your current season and into your new season. Get ready to make progress like never before. Get ready to arrive at your high places. Get ready to walk into your new things. Get ready to walk away from the old. Get ready to walk into the divine help you prayed about. Get ready to move.

Peter was previously tied in the prison; he could not move; and God sent him an angel that could move. God disconnected Peter from a system that could not move, and put him in a system that could move speedily. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will be divinely connected to people and systems that will enable your movement. You will be connected to relationships that will trigger your next movement and speedy rising.

Notice that the chains of Peter fell off on their own; even the prison gates opened on their own accord, but Peter needed to wear his sandals himself. Peter needed to prepare himself for the movement he was about to engage in. God Himself may open the gates for you; He may cause some breakthroughs to become your portion, but you still need to wear your sandals by yourself. You need to prepare to move, all by yourself.

If you fail to prepare for your movement, you just might get injured by the movement itself. If you fail to prepare for your new season, don’t be too surprised if your new season swallows you.

I move into my new season, in Jesus’ name!
