GLORIOUS EFFECTS OF HAVING THE BLESSED MINDSET

GENESIS 39:2,4-5 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. *And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had…. And it came to pass… that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

As you grow in your consciousness of how blessed you are in Christ, the blessings of God will overflow from your life continually and you will be unstoppable. Abraham was not afraid to allow Lot to choose the portion of land to stay in, because Abraham knew that the blessing of God was in him and his location could not limit him, (Gen.13:8-9). Jacob ran away empty-handed but with the blessing of God upon his life, he came back with a big family and abundant wealth and animals. The fact that Joseph was a slave in a strange land did not stop him from prospering because of the blessing of God upon his life.

The more you know how blessed you are, you will also be more loving. Despite the issue that led to Lot separating from Abraham, when Abraham heard that Lot was in trouble, he took the men of his house and went to rescue Lot, (Gen.14:14-16). Joseph did not retaliate against his brothers, (Gen.50:20). Having a blessed mindset will affect the way you talk. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks, (Matt.12:34b). When men are cast down, you will say there is a lifting up, (Job.22:29). Your words will encourage others, (Eph.4:29). Instead of saying what everyone around you is saying, you will be boldly declaring what God is saying about you, Heb.13:5-6.
