GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN!

Mark 16:14-17a (NLT)

Still later he appeared to the eleven disciples as they were eating together. He rebuked them for … they refused to believe those who had seen him after he had been raised from the dead. And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. …. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe:

After rising from the dead, Jesus appeared to His disciples for two major reasons: to convince them that He had risen and to persuade them about their current mission and responsibility. Their current mission and responsibility was to go into the world and spread His influence, (John 20:21). To do this, they were to preach the Gospel to all nations and make disciples; manifesting the life and power of Christ. They were to do all these by the power of the Spirit, (Acts 1:8). This is the same mission given to every one of us who are disciples of Christ. Preaching the Gospel is an assignment for every single believer. We all have been given the ministry of reconciliation, (2 Cor.5:18, 2 Tim.4:5).

The Bible says, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” (Isa.52:7, NIV). In early times, whenever a battle was won, a messenger was sent to break the news of victory to the people of the land. Such a messenger would run with excitement, and as people saw him coming they were eager to hear him for they knew they already had victory. God wants you to run with excitement to tell people the good news of what Christ has achieved by His death, burial and resurrection, (Eph.6:15, AMPC). Signs and wonders will follow you as you go.

Prayer:
I thank you Father for the great privilege to preach the Gospel and disciple nations for Christ. Use me to preach the Gospel today.
