God Designed You to Always Know and Do His Will

Philippians 2:13 (GNB, NLT, LB), 1 John 2:27 (GNB)
…God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey his own purpose. *For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. *For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey him, and then helping you do what he wants. *…Christ has poured out his Spirit on you. As long as his Spirit remains in you, you do not need anyone to teach you. For his Spirit teaches you about everything, and what he teaches is true, not false. Obey the Spirit’s teaching, then, and remain in union with Christ.

As a believer in Christ Jesus, you are not confused or trying to discern God’s will on your own. God Himself is at work in you, making you willing and able to do His will always. This is your default state as a believer. You have been programmed this way by God because you have received His life into you.

When David said, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made,” (Psa.139:14). I believe he was referring to the various and complex systems of the human body. At every given point in time, there is so much activity occuring in your human body that you are not even aware of- from your central nervous system to your digestive and respiratory systems and much more. God divinely programmed your body’s system to live and function in the right way. It function in the manner that it was divinely designed to.

By His Spirit, God has also programmed your new creation spirit in such a way that you can function in the manner in which you have been designed to function at every given point in time. The Holy Spirit is working out His fruit into your character (Gal.5:22-23), He is spreading God’s love in your heart (Rom.5:5), He is causing His gifts to flow out of you (1Cor.12:7-11), He is making intercessions for you (Rom.8:26-27), He is guiding you into all truth, showing you things to come, taking all that belongs to Christ and revealing them to you and manifesting them in your life (Eph.1:19-20). As such, you have no reason to fail.

Prayer:
I thank you, Heavenly Father, for the mighty things you are doing in me by your Spirit. Thank you for making me willing and able to do your will always.
