God has positioned and empowered you to shine
Matthew 5:14-16 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a n hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it give light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
In Christ, God has positioned and empowered you to shine for Him. You have been raised up with Christ (Eph. 2:6) to a position of virtue and glory. In this position, God has given you all that pertains to life and godliness, 2 Pet. 1:3. God has blessed you with every spiritual unction and blessing for every area of your life, Eph. 1:3. You are complete in Christ (Col. 2:10) and you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you, Phil. 4:13. God wants you to arise and shine because in Christ, your light has come and His glory has risen upon you, Isa. 60:1.
The first way God wants you to shine for Him is by manifesting the life of Christ. As you manifest the love, the authority and the righteousness of Christ, you are reflecting God’s light and glory. Treat people as Christ will treat them and walk in God’s ways and dominion and power just as Christ will do if he was in your shoes. You must also be excellent in all that you do. Daniel was so excellent that the king of Babylon preferred him to every other president and prince in Babylon and he was so excellent that those who hated him could not find anything to hold against him in the way he carried out his work, Dan. 6:3-4. Daniel was also excellent in spirit. That is why he did not defile himself (Dan. 6:10). Another way we shine for God is by preaching the gospel. Proverbs 11:30 says he that wins souls is wise and Daniel 12:3 (NLT) says, “Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever”. The Bible says, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel”, Rom. 10:15.
