GOD HAS TURNED YOUR SORROW TO JOY

John 16:20-22 (NIV)

….you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

The disciples of Jesus were sad when they heard that Jesus was leaving them and when He was betrayed, arrested, beaten and crucified, their sorrow was even worse. But just like Jesus told them, their sorrow was turned to joy. They experienced an unbelievable and unstoppable level of joy when Jesus rose again. Their lives were transformed, they were filled with the Spirit and they began to walk in the life and fullness of Christ. They began to preach the Gospel and do sings, wonders and great exploits. They became world changers.

Beloved, I am glad to announce to you that the same way God turned around the sorrow of the disciples of Jesus, God has also turned every sorrow in your life into joy. By the virtue of what Jesus did for you on the cross, there is no negative situation that has the power to prevail in your life or hold you down. Jesus has borne that grief and carried that sorrow. He also took the punishment for you to have His peace (Isa.53:4-5). Therefore, any sorrow you experience in life is temporal and it is going to work out together for your good in a way that will blow your mind, for Jesus has paid the price for it. Just like with Jesus, if the devil had known the way God will turn around that situation, he would not have tried to bring it your way, but it is too late. (1Cor.2:8-10). Your victory and joy are unstoppable.

Faith Declaration:
God has turned my sorrow to joy. Jesus has borne my grief and taken my sorrow away. My joy is sure.
