GOD HATES WASTE

“TAKE THEREFORE THE TALENT FROM HIM, AND GIVE IT UNTO HIM WHICH HATH TEN TALENTS.”

-Matthew 25:28-

I have seen several articles of how people make wonderful inventions from scraps. Those materials used actually meant nothing to those who threw them away, but from nothing came something wonderful that everyone then reckons with. Similarly, there are people who feel they are not worth anything. Some have discovered some talents, but feel no one would appreciate it.

The truth is: Raw materials are not appreciated until they are properly processed. Everyone has a God-given talent or more inside of them, but it takes your developing it to give it expression. People might not really see the value of that talent, but your ability to see it as unique and good brings the “special” feeling to it. Unfortunately, people are not patient enough to develop their talent, so they let it die.

This is why Myles Munroe once said: “The wealthiest place on the earth is not the oil field of the Middle East or the diamond field of South Africa, but the grave yard, because buried in it are great composers who never composed any music, poets whose poems died with them, and painters whose potentials were never tapped.” They allowed all of their great abilities die, because they never believed in themselves, or saw that others would see the good in them.

Do not let yours die. Endeavour to explore your talent and don’t be afraid of criticism; it would only make you better and stronger. Now that you know that you have a unique talent which can spur greatness in you if you engage in it, the big question is, “when will you begin to give it expression?” If God has given you the privilege to be alive today, it means you have a chance to express yourself. Why not begin now?! May God give you the strength and grace required to start in the name of Jesus Christ!
