Rhema for Living 3 May 2022 Devotional MESSAGE
In the book of Esther, there was a race on whom to replace queen Vashti who had lost her throne for refusal to dance when the king instructed her to. Many maidens were gathered together at the palace to the custody of Hegai keeper of the women to be prepared after the manner of women twelve months before going into king Ahasuerus one after the other and whoever he delights in becomes the next queen of the kingdom.
Right from when Esther came into the race, there was something about her, that stood her out, and that was the grace of God.
She pleased the keeper of the women and he gave her things for purification and all that belonged to her and seven maidens which were supposed to be given to her out of the king’s house and he preferred her and the maids unto the best place of the house of the women Esth.2 :8 – 9.
And when it was every maid’s turn to go into the king whatsoever she desired was given her to go with out of the house of the women into the king’s house and in the evening she went and in the morning she returned into the second house of the women to the custody of the king’s Chamberlain which kept the king’s concubines, and never goes back to the king except he delighted in her and that she was called by name Esth. 2 :4
With grace at work, when it was Esther’s turn to go into the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s Chamberlain, appointed and she obtained favour int the sight of all them that looked at her, Est. 2 :16. Esther depended on the experience of the Chamberlain who had been with the king and knew what he would prefer to appoint.

Esther leaned on God and not on her own understanding and grace spoke for her ( Prov. 3 :5 – 6). And when she came into the king, the king loved her above all the women and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins so that he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. Est. 2 :17.
Grace gives you preference. It procures favour and uncommon access. I see you enjoying such grace this season.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray now, release your grace on me Lord.
