GOD IS NOT IN TROUBLE

“And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18 (KJV)

As I travel the world, I see a lot of struggling among church folks. The Church is getting weary because of pressures, challenges and different things that are coming up right now against the Body of Christ. But amid all these challenges and pressures, the Church of Christ is not in trouble. Jesus Christ said very clearly: “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

The Church cannot be in trouble because the Church is God’s idea right from creation.
All around, I see some believers struggling. You can perceive it by the kind of statements that they make. And you can see it in their actions. Yet we keep going through the ‘Church motions’ and all the religious exercises. But the question is: Are we truly resting? When there is an area of struggle in your life, it is an indication that you are not resting in that area. If there is an area of worry, anxiety and perplexity in your life, it means that you are not resting in that area.

Beloved, Jesus came and died for us and He said, “It is finished” (John 19:30 KJV). Therefore, in every area of your life, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything through prayer and supplication, let your request be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6 KJV).  He further says that you should take no thought for your life, what to eat, or what to wear. This is to say, do not receive the thought. The thought will come but don’t take it.

Child of God, our God is not in trouble. We need to learn to rest as believers. When you study the Scriptures, you will see that whenever God’s people come into a jam and God wants to intervene, the first thing He tells them is “Fear not.” Then He says, “See the salvation of the Lord.” The word “Salvation” is a robust word that encompasses every area of life. Today, I charge you to believe in God’s Word. Rest in His Word.
