GOD IS OUR REFUGE

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.” Psalms 46:1-2 NLT

It is no longer news that the nations of the world are currently faced with a myriad of problems and the hearts of many are failing on a daily basis. There is insecurity, disease, hardship and all manners of evil. However, in the midst of all these, we can be confident because God is our refuge.  The God you serve is able to protect and uphold you in spite of all the onslaughts of the enemy. As a believer, you must realize that God is on your side, no matter what. Thus, you can afford to go to bed knowing that He will take care of you.

The dictionary defines ‘refuge’ as shelter or protection from danger or trouble. A place of refuge provides relief or escape. The psalmist makes it clear that God is our protection. He is our shelter from the storm of life and He is our deliverer. Let me assure you that the hand of God that upholds the universe is resting upon your life. Therefore, no power from hell will cut you short. Your life is hid with Christ in God. You cannot serve God and see embarrassment. So, don’t be afraid! You will not see shame neither will you be dismayed. Evil has no choice than to bow before you and the wicked shall bow at your gates.

Understand that God has already provided a Goshen for you. You are safe day and night. God will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the noise some pestilence, from the arrow that flies by day and destruction that wastes at noonday. In Christ, there is ample provision for your protection and safety. I challenge you today to rest in the Lord. Fear not! Covenant will speak for you. Wake up every day and declare what God has said concerning you. Proclaim your victory in Christ. In Christ, victory is your heritage.
