Celebrate the Love and Fatherhood of God
Ephesians 1:3-6 (GNB)
Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! For in our union with Christ he has blessed us by giving us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world. Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be his through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before him. Because of his love God had already decided that through Jesus Christ he would make us his children—this was his pleasure and purpose. Let us praise God for his glorious grace, …

Today is a good day for us to show how grateful we are to have the Almighty God as our dear and loving Heavenly Father. O what a great joy and privilege this is. “Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that he has lavished on us! He has called us and made us his very own beloved children. The reason the world doesn’t recognize who we are is that they didn’t recognize him,” (1John 3:1, TPT). “And you did not receive the ‘spirit of religious duty,’ leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the ‘Spirit of full acceptance,’ enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, ‘Beloved Father!’ For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, You are God’s beloved child!” (Rom.8:15-16, TPT).
There is absolutely no Father like our dear and loving Heavenly Father. There is no greater privilege than to be a member of God’s own family and household just like Jesus. To be loved by God the Father just like He loves Jesus (John 17:23) and to be made a joint heir with Jesus (Rom.8:17). As members of His household, He has shown us His love and care in so many ways. Like the great and wonderful loving Father that He is, He has given us good things consistently, (Matt.7:11). In this year, He has kept us safe and He has provided for us. He has strengthened us and He has comforted us. At several times, He made a way where there seemed to be no way. He has answered our prayers and He has revealed Himself to us. Today is a good day for us to say thank you to Him and to celebrate and rejoice about His love and Fatherhood over our lives.
Thanksgiving Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the great privilege to have you as my Father and I celebrate your love and Fatherhood over my life.
