GOD WANTS HIS KINGDOM TO TAKE OVER (2)

ACTS 19:1,8-10 (GNB) …Paul…arrived in Ephesus. There he found some disciples *Paul went into the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly… about the Kingdom of God. …Paul left them and took the believers with him, and every day he held discussions in the lecture hall of Tyrannus. This went on for two years, so that all the people who lived in the province of Asia, both Jews and Gentiles, heard the word of the Lord.

God’s basic strategy for His kingdom to take over the world is discipleship. This is why Jesus has sent us to make disciples of all nations, (Matt. 28:18-20, NKJV). Discipleship is the process of developing the life and passion of Christ into a believer. Jesus did not call us to make converts alone. He called us to make disciples of all nations. All nations include both all geographical and cultural nations as well as all spheres of life and influence in society.

Discipleship requires love, teaching of the gospel of Christ, prayers, follow-up, and showing the character of Christ with your example. All this must be done with the power, boldness and authority of Christ. Discipleship requires vision, patience and consistency. The vision is to see Christ fully formed in that believer’s life and to see that person manifest the life and passion of Christ. Discipleship does not end until that disciple now joins you in discipling others. Jesus had disciples. He taught them diligently and prayed for them. After He left, they continued teaching, discipling others and manifesting His life to the world. As we see in our text above, Apostle Paul taught the disciples in Ephesus consistently and in two years everyone in Asia heard the gospel. God wants the Gospel to increase and disciples of Christ to multiply, (Acts 6:7).

PRAYER:
Dear Father, please use me to disciple others for your kingdom. I thank you for the empowerment of your Spirit
