GOD WILL ALWAYS PROTECT AND SAVE YOU

Psalms 27:1b (NLT), Psalms 62:1-2 (KJV & GNB)

…The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? *Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. *I wait patiently for God to save me; I depend on him alone. He alone protects and saves me; he is my defender, and I shall never be defeated.

In our texts above, David described God as his fortress and his defense. A fortress is a place of safety that is highly guarded and protected. A defense is a shield or covering that provides protection from evil or danger. David described God as his fortress and defense because he knew that God would always protect and save him. Beloved, it is good to do your best to guard and protect yourself, but don’t put your faith in any of your efforts or safety measures. Keep your faith in God alone. He will keep you safe. Without Him, your efforts will be in vain, (Psa.127:1). “The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD,” (Prov.21:31). The greatest reason God will always protect and save you is because you are in Him. It is in Him that you live and move and have your being, (Acts 17:28a).

When David spoke about God being his salvation, he was saying that it is God that grants him victory, deliverance, prosperity, health and wholeness in every area of his life. The word salvation in Romans 1:16 also means to rescue or to make safe, to deliver and to grant health and wholeness. Jesus did not only die to deliver you from sin. By His death, God’s saving power is available for you in every area of your life. God will protect and save you in every area of your life.

Faith Declaration:
God is my fortress and defense. I live in God and I am safe. I always enjoy God’s protection and saving power.
