GOD WILL BRING OUT THE GREATNESS IN YOU
Psalms 18:31-35 (NLT), Psalm 71:21 (NKJV, TPT) For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, … he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow. You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great. *You shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. *Give us even more greatness than before. Turn and comfort us once again.
God has already made you great in Christ and as you continue to put your faith in Him and follow Him, He will bring out that greatness for the world to see it and be blessed by it. In Deuteronomy 28:1 & 13 (NKJV), God told the children of Israel through Moses that He would set them on high above all nations of the earth and that He would make them the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath; if they would obey His voice and follow His ways. Because of your faith in Christ, God has already done this for you.
In 2 Chronicles 27:6 (NLT) the Bible declares that, “King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God.” After Isaac obeyed God’s voice about not going down to Egypt during the time of famine, but to stay in the land and sow, the Bible says that, “Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great,” (Gen.26:12-13). This shall be your testimony.
In our text above David acknowledged that it was God’s help that made Him great. One of the first promises God made to Abraham if he would follow Him was that He (God) would make his name great, (Gen.12:2). Child of God, real promotion doesn’t come from anyone or anywhere else but from God alone, (Psa.75:6). Put your trust in Him and keep following Him. The Lord will set you on high and He will make you above only in every area of your life as you continue to believe in Him, obey His voice and follow His ways. He is bringing out all of the greatness He has deposited in you in Christ.
Prayer:
My eyes are on you Dear Lord. I believe in you and I yield myself to you. Lead me and cause the greatness you have given me in Christ to manifest.
