God’s Wisdom and Grace for Your Finances

Deuteronomy 8:18 (GNB), Proverbs 11:24-25 (NKJV), Ephesians 4:28 (CEV)
Remember that it is the LORD your God who gives you the power to become rich. He does this because he is still faithful today to the covenant that he made with your ancestors. *There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself. * If you are a thief, quit stealing. Be honest and work hard, so you will have something to give to people in need.

God wants you to be blessed and prosperous in your finances. The Bible overflows will the many promises and provisions that God has made available for this. God wants you to consistently trust Him for His blessings and abundance in your finances. In Christ, God has given you the power and the wisdom to increase in your finances and to manage them efficiently. As you increasingly trust in God and fellow His leading, this power and wisdom for prosperity in your finances be stirred up and manifested in your life.

God will meet your needs and use you to meet the needs of others. Beyond having our needs met, fulfilling purpose and meeting the needs of others should be our goal and motivations. God says He will bless the works of our hands so that we can lend to nations and not borrow (Deut.28:12). He wants us to give to His work and give to meet the needs of others.

Grow in knowledge and work hard. God will bless the works of your hand. Never engage in any form of fraud, cheating or stealing as you work. Be content. Godliness with contentment is great gain (1Tim.6:6). Do not be covetous. Do not be wasteful and extravagant. Learn to save and plan for the future. There is a time to gather and there is a time to keep (Eccl.3:5-6). God has promised to bless your storehouses (Deut.28:8). Our second text above reveals that there is a right amount to withhold. An attempt to withhold more than necessary is what leads to poverty. By the wisdom of God, you will know how to give, how to save and how to use of your finances in a prosperous way.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the wisdom and grace you have given me to increase in my finances and to manage them effectively.
