GRACE FOR CONSISTENCY

Matthew 4:19, Matthew 28:19 (NKJV), 2Timothy 2:2

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. *Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, *And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

Consistency is very important in every area of our lives, especially in our walk with God. There are so many great blessings and benefits of cultivating consistency. The Bible says, “…God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him,” (Heb.11:6b). God wants us to be diligent and consistent in our walk with Him. As we remain diligent and consistent in our walk with God, there is a glorious transformation that takes place in our lives. The way we follow or walk with God is very important. It is as we remain consistent in following/walking/ abiding in Christ that He will make us/transform our lives by His glory. As we consistently focus on Christ and His glory, the Holy Spirit continues to transform us from glory to glory into His image, (2Cor.3:18). Because the disciples of Jesus followed Jesus consistently, their lives were transformed (Acts 4:13) and through their lives, many were blessed and drawn into God’s kingdom. This is God’s desire for us.

Consistency is about being faithful to the end. It is about not giving up. In our walk with God and in many areas of our lives, there will be times that we may be tempted to give up or be discouraged, but it is only if we hold on that we will enter into the glorious blessings and rewards that God has for us. “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not,” (Gal.6:9).

Prayer:
Father, I receive your grace to focus on you and remain consistent in my walk with you and in every area of my life.
