GRACE FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW AND DO THEIR PART

Exodus 17:9, 11-13 (GNB)

Moses said to Joshua, “…go and fight the Amalekites.. .I will stand on…the hill holding the stick…God told me to carry.” *As… Moses held up his arms, the Israelites won…. When Moses’ arms grew tired, Aaron and Hur brought a stone for him to sit on, while they stood beside him and held up his arms, holding them steady until the sun went down. In this way Joshua totally defeated the Amalekites.

Just as a body has different parts and each part has a special role to play, God has fashioned every one of us specially and we all have different roles to play even in carrying out God’s will for this nation. Have you discovered the role you are to play for the growth and development of this nation? Are you playing that role? The grace to know and play our parts diligently and excellently is upon us today.

Joshua and his men as well as Moses, Aaron and Hur all had very important and different roles to play. If Moses, Aaron and Hur did not play their role, Joshua and His men would not have succeeded. And if Joshua and his men did not play their role, all that Moses, Aaron and Hur did would have been in vain.

The fact that Moses, Aaron and Hur could not be seen because they were on the mountain did not mean their role was not important or not as important as that of Joshua and his men. We must never despise our roles and we must never envy or despise the roles of others. We must be selfless always and our motive for all we do must be to please God and do His will for our nation. We must be more united than ever and we must always treat each other justly and fairly. A house divided against itself cannot stand, (Mark 3:25).

Prayer Focus:
Pray for God to strengthen every one of us to know and play our roles. Pray for love and unity to prevail in this nation.
