GRACE TO ALWAYS SEE THE GLORY OF GOD (1)

Isaiah 6:1-3 (LB)

The year King Uzziah died I saw the Lord! He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the Temple was filled with his glory. Hovering about him were mighty, six-winged angels of fire. With two of their wings they covered their faces, with two others they covered their feet, and with two they flew. In a great antiphonal chorus they sang, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is filled with his glory.”

After king Uzziah died, Isaiah said he saw the Lord and the temple was filled with His glory. While this is a wonderful thing, it was not all that God wanted him to see or be conscious of. Isaiah still had a limited perspective of the glory of God. The angels had a better perspective and it was reflected in their song. Isaiah saw God’s glory filling the temple, but the angels sang that the earth was full of God’s glory.

God does not want us to see His glory in only one or some areas of our lives. He wants us to see our entire lives filled with His glory. He wants us to see it with the eyes of our spirit or the eyes of faith. He wants us to see and be conscious of His glory in every situation we find ourselves in. When you have a better perspective of the glory of God, it will reflect in your attitude. Gehazi saw the Syrian army and was afraid, but Elisha prayed for his eyes to be opened and he saw God’s mighty angels of fire surrounding them, (2Kings 6:15-17). Elijah then activated God’s glory and power over the threat before them and they had victory. The glory and power of God available to you is more than any threat you may face. Some people are always seeing the devil and what he is doing more than they see God, His glory and what God is doing. Jesus always saw what God was doing and that was why He could cooperate with God to do exploits, (John 5:17-21).

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please open my eyes to always see your glory and all you are doing in every situation and every area of my life.
