GRACE TO ALWAYS SEE THE GLORY OF GOD (2)

JEREMIAH 33:3 (NKJV), EXODUS 33:18 (NIV), 2Cor.4:6 (CEV) ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.” We are not preaching about ourselves. Our message is that Jesus Christ is Lord. … The Scriptures say, “God commanded light to shine in the dark.” Now God is shining in our hearts to let you know that his glory is seen in Jesus Christ.

We studied yesterday that God wants us to always see His glory in every area of our lives and in every situation we find ourselves in. Today, God wants us to know that all of His glory is revealed by Jesus.

Jesus is the express image of God the Father, (Heb.1:3). In John 1:14 & 18 (CEV), the Bible says, “The Word became a human being and lived here with us. We saw his true glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father. From him all the kindness and all the truth of God have come down to us. *No one has ever seen God. The only Son, who is truly God and is closest to the Father, has shown us what God is like.”

If you want to always see the glory of God, then your focus and attention must always be on Jesus. Elijah prayed for God to open Gehazi’s eyes to see God’s glory and God did. Moses prayed for God to show him His glory and God showed him a little glimpse of it. Right now, God has shown us all of His glory through Jesus. For the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Christ and we are complete in Him, (Col.2:9-10). What we are to pray for is that as we focus on Jesus, God will open our eyes to see all of His glory that He has revealed to us through Jesus. The glory of God is in the face of Jesus. As you focus on Jesus, you will see God’s glory and you will both experience and manifest it.

PRAYER:
Father, please help me to keep my focus on Jesus and open my eyes to see all your glory that you have revealed through Jesus.
