*GRACE TO KEEP RENEWING YOUR MIND (1)

Romans 1 2:2 (NKJV, TPT)
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that…will of God.*Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes

The word used for transformed in our text above is metamorphosis and it’s the same word from which the word metamorphosis is derived. Metamorphosis is a developmental change in form that an organism experiences as it progresses toward its adult or mature state. An example is how an egg changes to a larva (caterpillar) then to a pupa, then finally
to an adult butterfly. This change in form comes with a change in the way the organism functions.

As a believer, you will not experience a change in your life by trying to change your actions from the outside. This is the reason so many believers are struggling in vain to experience a change in certain aspects of their lives. It’s just like trying to kill a tree by destroying its fruits. The tree will keep growing and bearing the same fruit until you destroy the tree from its
root and plant a new and different tree. The root of your actions is the state of your mind or the way you think.
The way to change your mind is to renew it by reprogramming the truth (what God says about you in Christ) into it. To effectively carry out this process you must study and meditate on the revelation of Christ abundantly. To meditate here, does not mean to think deeply about
something; it means to mutter or quietly speak to yourself.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for the grace you have
