Grace to Maintain Your Victorious Attitude
Romans 8:35-37 (NIV), Philippians 4:4,13 & 19
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. *Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. *I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. *But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
The best time to declare that we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us is not when everything is going well and we are not having any stress. It is ‘in all these things’ that make others lose it and give up that we are more than conquerors by the love of God! In between when we receive and believe God’s word and when God’s word fully manifests in our lives, we may go through difficult times and valleys of the shadow of death just like Joseph did in the pit, in Potiphar’s house and in prison. But the process cannot stop the promise. That is why we must remain victorious. God’s word is sure and His promises are yes and amen in Christ (2Cor.1:20). What you are going through is divinely working together for your good (Rom.8:28). Just as the princes of this world did not know how crucifying Christ was going to work together for our good (1Cor.2:8) so also the devil doesn’t know how what you are going through will both work and be turned around for your good.
Child of God, do not let what you are enduring change your faith and confidence in God. Do not be afraid. Revelation 12:11 says, “and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” As they were testifying about what Jesus had done for them with His blood, they were also not afraid of losing their lives. Philippians 1:28 (GNB) says, “don’t be afraid of your enemies; always be courageous, and this will prove to them that they will lose and that you will win, because it is God who gives you the victory.” Your refusal to fear what you are going through is a sign that you are already victorious.
Faith Declaration:
I am more than a conquerors through Christ’s great love for me. I refuse to be defeated or give up because of what I am going through. I am victorious!
