Great American Family Unveils Record Slate of 18 New Christmas Movies

 


Hallmark rival Great American Family on Thursday unveiled a lineup of Christmas movies that includes 18 original holiday films featuring such talent as Candace Cameron Bure, Daniel Lissing, Jen Lilley, Danica McKellar and Cameron Mathison.

Eighteen original Christmas movies is a record number for Great American Family and is part of the network’s “Great American Christmas” event that launches Friday, October 21st, with new holiday movies premiering every weekend through the end of the year. The first original holiday movie, Destined at Christmas, debuts Saturday, October 22nd and stars Shae Robins and Casey Elliott.

A news release said the lineup “further establishes the brand as a destination for original Christmas movies.”

Bure celebrated the news on her Instagram page, writing, “The list is here!! 18 original Christmas movies premiering on @gactv every weekend, starting October 21st.”

Following is the complete lineup, with descriptions from Great American Family. All movies debut at 8 p.m. Eastern.

DESTINED AT CHRISTMAS, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22ND (SHAE ROBINS AND CASEY ELLIOTT)

“Kim and Theo meet amid Black Friday shopping madness, but there’s a definite spark between them. When a power outage causes some panic at a store, the couple gets separated. With Christmas coming, there should be plenty of distractions, but neither Kim nor Theo can forget the other. Both yearn to find each other, but how with so little information to go on? CATERING CHRISTMAS, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29TH (MERRITT PATTERSON AND DANIEL LISSING)
