HE BORE THE WEIGHT OF SIN FOR YOU

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way, and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

Isaiah 54:6 (KJV)

Many believers don’t fully understand what happened when Jesus died on the cross. On the cross, Jesus carried the weight of sin and God judged Him for it. Do you know why God will not judge you and deal with you because of your sin? It is because the full weight of sin and the penalty for sin were laid on Christ. The full weight was put on Christ. That is why He prayed: “Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done.” (Luke 22:42 KJV)

But there is no other way! It has to be through the cross so that mankind can be redeemed and delivered from every bondage. The full weight of man’s sin was laid on him. And for the first time, God’s eyes could not behold Jesus because of the iniquity of mankind. When that happened, there was a separation between God the Father and God the Son. And Jesus opened his mouth; He said, ‘My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?’ (Matthew 27:46 KJV). Notice that He didn’t say, my Father as usual, but my God.

Jesus had always enjoyed Abba, but this time around, Abba turned his back on His Son. Why did He do so? It was all because of you. He called him My God, My God so that we can call him Abba Father. How dare you live a Christian life as if you are in bondage? When you are in a tight corner, cry out to your Daddy and your Daddy will rise and stop everyone who wants to hinder you.

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32 KJV). Whatever you are believing God for will happen in your life. You will not be denied.
