He Works Wonders

Today’s Scripture

Joel 2:25–26, NIV”I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten…You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you.”

Today’s Word

The Israelites’ crops had been lost, insects had wiped out their harvest, and for years they had struggled. They had made many mistakes, and it seemed as though they had brought their troubles on themselves. But God is rich in mercy, even when we make mistakes, even when we cause the trouble. He was saying to them what He’s saying to you, “I’m going to repay you for the years that the enemy has stolen–years you spent lonely, years you spent being mistreated, years you spent in lack, years you spent addicted, years you spent depressed. This is not a partial recovery. You’re going to get it all back.”

God is about to repay you. It may seem impossible, but God has all power. You’re going to have plenty of joy, plenty of peace, plenty of friends, plenty of resources, and plenty of opportunities. You’re not only going to be satisfied, you’e going be amazed. It’s the Most High God paying you back.

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that You are rich in mercy, and nothing is too hard for You to work out in my life. Thank You that You work in ways so far beyond anything I can think or imagine. Help me to hear Your word and simply believe that You will work wonders for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
