HEALTHY LIVING
“Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones”
-PROVERBS 16:24-
You don’t need to spend money on drugs or run around for prayers to be healthy. Some health issues are caused by ignorance and lack of care, which when properly looked into, can be avoided. Being healthy makes you look and feel your best at all times, no matter the age. This is why alongside God’s original plan for you to be healthy, He provided several tips for you to truly enjoy that healthy lifestyle. The following tips will help you in your quest to healthy living:

- Drink plenty of water daily. Research shows that an intake of at least six liters of water daily is healthy for the heart and skin. Water apart from refreshing us also replenishes us, makes us look brighter, and make our skin look tenderer. This is because it flushes out all that should not be in you and also aids digestion.
- Have a healthy diet. This means you eat more vegetables and fruit and less fatty and toxic foods. Some people prefer junk foods to “real”, healthy foods, and that is unhealthy. Food is what gives your body the required nutrients and strength so what you feed yourself with determines what your body gives you in return.
- You might wonder what kind of exercise you can actually involve yourself in, being constant working adults but there are many. In situations where you cannot jog, you could decide to take a short walk rather than drive, or take the stairs rather than use the elevator. The small changes are what make big impacts.
- Let go of daily stress. You could take a few minutes between work assignments to stand, stretch, or just to take a few deep breaths so as to relax. This will ease you of tension and stress that you might have accumulated. At the close of work, you may also decide to take a nap. This does not necessarily mean sleeping, but just relaxing your nerves and body system.
Though our health needs change as we advance in age, the rudiments are the same. As you imbibe these tips learnt, I see a newer, fresher and more refreshed you.
Remain blessed!
