“This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” – 1 JOHN 5:14

What does it mean to pray according to the will of the Father? Perhaps this will help.

Several years ago, I went bird hunting with a friend. I’d never been before so I did everything he told me to do, whether it was to ‘stand over there,” or “go that way” or “sit right there.” I did what he wanted me to do because he knew what he was doing, and I clearly did not.

So it is when we pray in the will of the Father. We do so because He knows what is best for His children.
