His Winnowing Fan

BIBLE READING: Numbers 9-12

TEXT: “Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” – Matthew 3:12. A fan used while WINNOWING to sift the chaff from the grain. God is a merciful God but He is also a just God. For every act of a man, there is reward. Galatians 6 :7; “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” For every act of man, there is consequences for every action.

Jesus gave a parable in Matthew 13 :30, “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” God sowed good seed in every man when he created us but he has left us to make our choice. Scripture says in Deuteronomy 30:19, “… I have set before you life and death…”, chose life. In Joshua 24 :15, Joshua gave his farewell speech, he spoke to the Israelites about all that God did in their lives and told them to choose if they will serve God or the gods their fathers serve but as for him and his house, they will serve the Lord. God has given us the option to make our choice, he will not force us, but whatever choice
you make, his winnowing fan is in his hands to separate the tares from the wheat. May your choice not make you tares but wheat useful to the kingdom
