“The righteous cry and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”Psalm 34:17 (KJV) Many people are wondering why they have not succeeded. “Why did things not fall through for me?” They are quick to ask. My question is: Are you hooked up with God or are you doing your own thing? Do you take time to inquire from God in the place of prayer, or do you run off doing your own thing and expecting His blessing? You must understand that He is God. He is not a man! He knows how to slow down the clock in order to fulfil His divine purpose for your life. He is God and when you hook up to Him in the place of prayer, you have hooked up with the supernatural and He ensures that all things work together for your good. Sometimes, it looks like God’s timing is slow and you want to run all by yourself; beloved, don’t fall for that temptation. God knows the end from the beginning and His timing is never late.
I recall while growing up in ministry as a young man, a businessman in our church who ordered trucks from Lagos, South-West Nigeria, for sale in the Eastern part of Nigeria called in a frenzy that the trucks had been diverted to an unknown destination. We had a choice to either run helter-skelter or to go back to God who gave the business idea. Of course, we did the latter, we called on God, the owner of heaven and earth to intervene. We prayed that the Holy Spirit will arrest them wherever they were. By mid-afternoon, news got to us that they had arrested all the people who diverted the trucks. God went ahead and arrested them. Do you know what gave us confidence? We knew God was in the business; He gave the idea and He will perfect what He has started. What are you involved in? Don’t waste time running in circles; learn to listen to the word from God and obey Him totally. Be assured that when you are hooked on Him, the supernatural will be the order of the day.
