HOW ARE YOU RESPONDING TO GOD’S GOODNESS AND KINDNESS?
Luke 10:13 (CEV), Romans 2:4 (TPT) You people of Chorazin are in for trouble! …If the miracles that took place in your towns had happened in Tyre and Sidon, the people there would have turned to God long ago.…*Do the riches of his extraordinary kindness make you take him for granted and despise him? Haven’t you experienced how kind and understanding he has been to you? Don’t mistake his tolerance for acceptance. Do you realize that all the wealth of his extravagant kindness is meant to melt your heart and lead you into repentance?

Beloved, how are you responding to God’s goodness and kindness? In what way are the goodness and kindness of God affecting your life? God is good and kind to you because He loves you and He wants you to be drawn closer to Him. “The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, with lovingkindness I have drawn you,” (Jer.31:3, NKJV). Do not misconstrue the grace of God. The goodness and mercies of God are never a license for us to continue in sin or living our lives anyway we want.
The goodness of God is meant to lead us to repentance. The way to show God that we really appreciate His goodness and kindness to us is to humble ourselves before Him and yield ourselves more to Him. “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will,” (Rom.12:1-2, NIV).
When Peter experienced the amazing miracle of multitudes of fish filling his net, he broke down before Jesus and He followed Jesus from then on, (Luke 5:1-11). The things we see or experience are supposed to help us understand God’s nature better, (Rom.1:20). The more we understand and acknowledge God’s nature, the more we will be drawn to Him. Do not turn the things that God gives you into an idol or something that will take your heart away from Him. Instead, let them make you acknowledge God more and yield yourself more to Him and to all He has done for you in Christ.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your goodness and kindness in my life and I surrender and yield myself more to you right now. Have your way in me.
