HOW ARE YOUR WORSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD?

Psalm 29:2 (TPT), Exodus 25:2, 8-9 (GNB) Be in awe before his majesty. Be in awe before such power and might! Come worship wonderful Yahweh, arrayed in all his splendor, bowing in worship as he appears in the beauty of holiness. Give him the honor due his name. Worship him wearing the glory garments of your holy, priestly calling! *”Tell the Israelites to make an offering to me. … *The people must make a sacred Tent for me, so that I may live among them. Make it and all its furnishings according to the plan that I will show you.

The tabernacle was a temporary structure that God asked the children of Israel to build in the wilderness so that they could worship Him and His presence could dwell among them. Do you know why God asked the Israelites to build a Tabernacle of worship unto Him in the wilderness? God did not want them to wait till they got to the Promised Land before they learnt how to worship Him and stir up His presence in their lives. In the same way, God does not want us to wait until all His promises are fulfilled in our lives before we worship and honour Him. He wants to be worshipped always and in all circumstances.

Despite the fact that the Tabernacle was a temporary structure, God gave Moses a lot of the details for how to build it. This shows us how serious God wants us to take our worship and fellowship with Him. God wants us to worship Him deeply and willingly. That is why He asked the Israelites to give willingly towards the building of the Tabernacle. When Solomon eventually built the permanent temple structure and offered up abundant sacrifices to worship God, God’s presence filled the temple in a very unusual way, (1Kings 8:5-11). It was like God had been waiting for such a worship for a very long time.

Make your worship and fellowship with God a priority in your life. Do everything that has to do with your fellowship and service unto God with all of your heart, your soul, your mind and your strength, (Mark 12:30). Give God your best because that is what He deserves. Always present your body (Rom.12:1) and everything that you do (Col.3:16), unto God as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto Him through Jesus Christ.

Prayer Focus:
Tell God how much you long to fellowship with Him. Pour out your heart to Him in worship and receive His grace to fellowship with Him more
