“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” – 2 Corinthians 9:15

Years ago, when Richard Burton gave the biggest diamond in the world to Elizabeth Taylor, the newspaper said it was “indescribable.” But then, the newspaper reporters proceeded to attempt to describe the indescribable by talking about the diamond’s size, its shape, its sparkle, and its value.

Do you know what is truly indescribable? It is the gift God gave to us at Christmas – the gift of His Son. This gift is indescribable because it is perfect and it is priceless. Jesus gave His life so that all who receive Him can experience a brand-new life of meaning and purpose. Words are so inadequate to describe such wondrous and amazing love. Thank God for Jesus – God’s truly indescribable Christmas Gift to you and to me.
