HOW TO ACTIVATE NEW AND DIVINE SEASONS

John 2:1-5

And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

As a child of God, the seasons and experiences of your life are not determined by what is going on around you or by what is happening to everybody else. They are determined by your believing and receiving the word of God in your life. You live by the word of God. Therefore as you discover things in God’s word concerning your life and believe them and lay hold of them your seasons and experiences in life change. Your life conforms more to the will of God for you.

When the wine ran out in the wedding at Cana, all the servants needed to do was to listen to Jesus and do what He asked them to do. What Jesus told them to do, did not really make sense to the human mind but it made them experience something new – God’s divine provision for them in that situation. Believing and holding on to what God says about you in Christ may not make sense to your flesh, but it will activate the glory of God in your life. As Peter listened to Jesus and launched out into deep, he caught a great and unbelievable number of fish at a time it did not seem possible, (Luke 5:4-6).

You do not have to wait for things to go wrong first before you fill yourself with God’s word and lay hold of it. Let this be your normal lifestyle. God is waiting for you to discover and walk in new things.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please help me to keep filling myself with your word and laying hold of your promises and plans for my life.
