HOW TO BE STRONG IN THE LORD AS SOLDIERS OF CHRIST (2)

Daniel 11:32, Philippians 3:10, 1Corinthians 1:24

And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Our strength and victory as soldiers of Christ do not come from being conscious and afraid of the devil. Our strength and victory come from knowing Christ and being conscious of all He has done for us. We need to be more conscious of who is for us and what He wants us to do. The Bible says, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Rom.8:31).

When Elisha prayed for God to open Gehazi’s eyes, God opened his eyes and he saw that they that were with them were more than they that were with those who were against them, (2Kings 6:15-18).

So many believers are more conscious of the devil and his works than they are conscious of Christ and His works for them. One area this is seen is in the kind of prayers they pray. To be strong as soldiers of Christ, we need to pray more about knowing Christ and all He has done for us. Christ is the wisdom and power of God. He is our life and our strength. In Ephesians 1:15-20, Apostle Paul prayed for believers to have the spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Christ, for their eyes to be opened to the hope of God’s calling, the glorious riches of God’s inheritance in them and the exceeding greatness of God’s resurrection power at work in them. We need to pray more like this.

Prayer:
Dear Father, I want to know Christ and all He has done for me by His sacrifice. Fill me with the revelation of Christ.
